ABOUT THE ART INSTITUTE HAUTE LIST
August 26, 2016
The Art Institute of Wisconsin prepares students for careers in the visual and practical arts. We have created an umbrella program, Haute List, to provide students with a venue to showcase their talent, passion, and accomplishments. Each Haute List program is founded on utilizing home grown talent to create awareness, interest and excitement in our school and its students.
Students at The Art Institute of Wisconsin have an opportunity to present their work to peers and industry professionals. The Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Media Arts and Culinary departments each have a tremendous impact on the production. Each department shares their areas of expertise, and collaborate to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
ABOUT 2016 ART INSTITUTE OF WISCONSIN
HAUTE LIST PRODUCTION
Haute List: Play to Win is a collaboration across all fields of study at The Art Institute of Wisconsin. Fashion students created the garments, created materials to seek event partnerships, created promotional materials and will oversee the entire event. Culinary students created designs for the runway show and will provide a food tasting for the VIPs. Design students created the Haute List logo, and Media Arts students will serve as photographers and videographers for the event.
During the runway show, student garments will be judged by a panel of fashion professionals. Awards will be given in the following categories: Best in Show, Most Marketable, Best Construction, Attention to Detail and Forward Thinker. In addition to the fashion awards, The Art Institute of Wisconsin will also award its first Excellence in Art Education Award. This award was created to recognize and honor an individual’s contribution to excellence in art education.
Partnering with the campus for Haute List is Aveda; The Institute of Beauty and Wellness.
